In today’s rapidly evolving world, where sustainability, efficiency, and technology are transforming industries, New Brunswick’s forest sector is embracing innovation with a recently launched digitalization roadmap. This comprehensive exercise is designed to modernize forest management by integrating digital technologies that improve efficiency, enhance sustainability, and ensure long-term success. With this roadmap, New Brunswick’s key players—including stakeholders, rights holders/First Nations, the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development of New Brunswick (DNRED NB), representatives of small woodlot owners, licensees, sub-licensees, and service and technology providers—are taking proactive steps toward a future driven by data-informed decision-making and collaboration, fostering both economic growth and environmental stewardship.
